About Me

Lana Elizabeth Bateman

I am an artist, writer and graphic designer based in Ottawa, Ontario. After graduating from Algonquin’s graphic design program I went into freelance, working with a variety of clients ranging from food manufacturers, tech, a toy company, online publications and animal hospitals. Around this time I also got involved in local independent film, where I discovered a love of writing, acting and FX makeup. My favourite genres to work on are horror and comedy.

In 2022 I was able to integrate these two passions into a single profession – film production graphic design. I love to create visuals that tell stories, that set a mood, and that advance the vision of the director and production designer. I have worked with companies such as Paramount, Netflix and VH1.

When I am not working I love to play guitar, draw and catch up on my writing projects.
