All I Didn't Want for Christmas

Film Production Graphic Design
Film Portfolio

As graphic designer on All I Didn’t Want for Christmas, I produced graphics for a wide variety of key props and set decoration. This included choosing background art and designing/constructing signage, displays and artwork for locations such as the radio station, santaland, newsstand and mailroom, to creating key props and wardrobe graphics such as the tshirt design worn by Gabourey Sidibe, and the pop-up card from an obsessive admirer. For a newspaper prop featuring a story about a woman trampled to death by a reindeer, I contributed a subheader that still makes me laugh: Dasher Thrashes Vixen.

Project Highlights

Pop-Up Card

Graphic Design, Prop Construction

When the protagonist of the film makes a drunken Christmas wish, one of her ill-conceived demands is for her high school crush to fall for her. This pop-up card is the result of his unhinged attraction. Visually this needed to pack a real comedic punch on sight, and from its bobble-head figures, to its cut-outlettering, to the human hair taped inside, I think it succeeds.

Bulls-Eye Candy

Graphic Design, Wardrobe

A fun, tongue-in-cheek design for the girls’ darts team: Bulls-Eye Candy. We needed to incorporate the pun-based elements in the name and a Christmas theme. Pictured: selected graphic as well as alternate provided design.

KLDA Radio Station

Logo Design/Branding, Posters, Mounted Signage and Displays

The protagonist of the film works at KLDA Radio, so we needed to create the world of this workspace. This included a logo design, show personality posters, signed guest posters and even contests.
